Sustainable Development

Junior Chamber
International Hong Kong (JCI) conducted a survey on Global Goals for Sustainable
Development and held a Survey Results Conference on 21 May, 2016. Dr.
Shirley Yeung was invited to share her perspective on sustainable development.

300 questionnaires were collected in
this survey and it shows youth in Hong Kong do not really understand and
familiar with the concept of Global Goals for Sustainable Development, with
average score of 5.99 out of 10. The survey also demonstrates respondents’ view
on the Sustainable Development Goals for Hong Kong and Personal Sustainable
Development Goals. “Sustainable Cities and Communities” is the most important
Sustainable Development Goals for Hong Kong. “No poverty”, “Climate action”,
“Zero Hunger” and “Good Health and Well-being” are important goals for personal
development, with more than 90 respondents selected.

In
order to achieve mutual goals and promote Sustainable Development,
further collaborations will be explored
